Your challenge as Manager Supply Chain Strategy and Fulfillment

As a Manager, you get the opportunity to develop your management and sales skills by being responsible for delivering projects and building strong relationships with clients. You play an active role in the realization of local and international multidisciplinary projects, such as defining a supply chain strategy to reduce costs while increasing delivery reliability. Or designing a new supply chain organization and governance structure by centralizing a specific domain and selecting a supply chain visibility and/or TMS solution. Or help a client solving performance issues by applying (data) analytics and redesign business processes. You support clients during the whole process: starting with analyzing the problem and developing the solution, to implementation and optimization, with the natural component of project and change management always being present. Besides delivery at clients, you play an active role in business development and developing new propositions.

As a Manager Supply Chain Strategy & Fulfillment, you:

  • advise leading multinationals on how to design and implement changes on strategic, tactic and operational level with regards to Supply Chain Visibility, Control Towers and Transport Management;
  • are on top of the latest trends in the market and new developments in solution providers;
  • actively participate in commercial processes by leading sales opportunities;
  • lead multidisciplinary project delivery teams as a project manager;
  • are responsible for timely project delivery;
  • act as a change manager if needed, so that the right people are involved in the transformation;
  • execute vendor selection processes;
  • contribute to growing and developing the team.

What do you bring?

You have strong communication skills, take initiative and do the extra mile to deliver the best possible result for the client and your colleagues. Under time constraints, you analyze problems and come up with creative solutions and insights. Absorbing information on digital developments quickly and applying this effectively is one of your strengths. You are collaborative in style, empathic in nature, confident in content and focused on outcomes at all levels in the client organization.

Other things that you bring are:

  • A University Master’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, (Technical) Business Administration, Economics, Operations Research and/or Operations Management;
  • You are located in the Netherlands and have at least 6 years of working experience in a top consulting firm or leading multinational on digital supply chain management;
  • Well experienced in leading change or transformation projects in an international context, budgeting, stakeholder management and issue resolution while working in cross functional teams;
  • Some form of flexibility in terms of assignment location, as roles may involve periods of time away from home during the week. International experience is a plus;
  • Experience with Distribution Network Redesign, Logistics Sourcing, Order and/or Warehouse Management is a plus;
  • Knowledge of and experience with supply chain management systems, preferably control tower solutions and or TMS solutions;
  • A warm network in at least one of the following industries in the Netherlands: manufacturing, consumer products and/or retail;
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Dutch is considered an advantage, proficiency in German is a plus.
