You will cooperate with the NL Data Protection Officer, who is also the EUR Data Protection Officer. As a Privacy Counsel and Privacy Officer in the Netherlands, you will contribute to the data protection of Capgemini entities in the Netherlands that are acting as a controller and a processor. You will provide legal advice with a pragmatic wrapping to business colleagues and monitor legal compliance of the companies. You are expected to actively build an external network of peers and DPO’s and support sales teams in client negotiations on data protection. You are willing to grow personally and professionally supported by the large portfolio of internal and external training of the Capgemini Academy and Capgemini University.

Your Opportunity:

  • Working with the NL Data Protection Officer to develop and drive implementation of the Capgemini data protection framework;
  • Give efficient and pragmatic legal advice on strategic deals, on answering RFP’s, review and negotiating relevant contractual clauses in the contract of major deals;
  • Monitor actual compliance;
  • Perform privacy impact assessments.
  • Advise on and manage client and internal audits and incidents in close coordination with other stakeholders;
  • Coach and train business colleagues on relevant legal, data privacy and general compliance matters;
  • participate actively to the drafting and implementation of the group policies and guidelines;
  • establish and maintain a strong external network;
  • participate to workstreams in a global data protection network;
  • maintain expert knowledge on data protection and cybersecurity laws and regulations and act appropriately upon changes;
  • The Privacy Counsel and Privacy Officer reports to the NL Data Protection Officer and is part of the legal team and is also a member of the global DPO community and global Legal team

Your Background:

The candidate needs to be a qualified lawyer, has a legal master degree and is graduated at a Dutch University, with at least 4 years of relevant job experience in legal data protection and security.
