Manager Data Science

Do you want to help clients determine the optimal train length for passenger transport at any time of the day? Or do you want to analyse the staff planning for the average duration a mammoth tanker will be docked for replenishing supplies? For a large retail company, can you predict how many employees they should deploy per day at each location? Could you also set up a customer value model for clients in order to increase their marketing & sales? The best way to predict the future is to Invent it! We help clients answer important and complex issues. We do this, among other things, by building concrete Minimum Viable Products and by showing our clients 'the art of the possible'.

Your challenge as Manager Data Science

Being a Manager Data Science at Capgemini Invent, you'll employ analysis, knowledge and creativity to help clients devise a vision for the future that forms the basis for change processes. With the help of models and analysis-based techniques you'll solve client issues that are part of major business transformations. You'll contribute to the definition of new projects and lay out the strategy together with colleagues from other teams who in turn focus on specific work areas, such as Supply Chain, HR Transformation or the retail sector. Together with the Data Science team you'll work in a dynamic field that is undergoing rapid development. You'll be initiating challenging projects that do not stop short of simply supplying insights: you also guide clients int their transformation in order to make them ready for the future.

What you will be doing?
  • You're responsible for project delivery and will be leading project teams.
  • You supervise a few (senior) consultants in their professional development.
  • You anticipate new developments in the market and convert these into new propositions.
  • You maintain client relations and sell new projects.
  • You contribute to publications and marketing efforts.

What do you bring?

We think it is very important that you fit well into our team. Your motivation shows that you have a curious attitude and dare to think differently with a vision of the field. You're an expert in the field of Data Science and get energy from transferring your knowledge and experience. You also have the ability to quickly analyze complex issues and generate new, sharp insights and solutions. Although you already have the necessary experience, you never stop learning. You can also work independently and in a team. You do not shy away from taking initiative and always go for the best result. What else can you bring?

  • A completed university education with a strong quantitative background.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience as a data scientist and you also have experience in the consulting profession.
  • You've gained experience as a manager, for example you manage data scientists on large projects.
  • You have a large network and are happy to expand it further.
  • An excellent command of the Dutch and English language.
