Frontend Developer

You are an all-rounder in one of our Scrum Teams. As a team you will perform on challenging and fun assignments together with our clients. For instance, we developed the websites of a large companies in the banking area.

Front-end Developer

At Capgemini we do not just create web-applications and mobile apps which customers of our clients can use. No, we develop applications that make people happy: from employees to the end user. As a front-end developer, you are essential to this process!

Your challenges as front-end developer

Your role encompasses developing new functionalities, maintaining, guarding, and improving current infrastructure and applications to developing new innovations. As a front-end developer, you are the (lead) developer within your Scrum Team and work on the most diverse projects for our clients within financial services (FS). Think about developing new online banking innovations or a mobile app.

What you will do:

  • You develop new functionalities and solutions for complex situations;
  • You will work together with your own team and other teams on improving the quality of various applications, functionalities, and solutions;
  • You will organize sessions with the team to optimize processes. For this you will review current standards, best practices, and new technologies;
  • You will try out new technologies and create PoCs and determine the added value these have for our clients;
  • You conduct workshops, seminars and meetups to create awareness for frontend development within and outside of Capgemini and to attract new talent.

What you will bring

Eye for technology, detail, and people. That is what it’s all about for you. In addition to technical substantiation and a designer by heart, you must have good soft skills. And, you can always motivate others in a positive way. What else do you bring?

  • A Higher Educational (HBO) or Scientific (WO) education degree in the fields of (Technical) Informatics or Computer Science.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience as a developer.
  • Knowledge of different frontend development tools.
  • Experience with Angular, React.js or Vue.js, Jasmine, Karma, and Protractor. Nodejs and Webpack. SCSS, CSS, and Bootstrap. HTML, JavaScript and jQuery, and CICD, think about Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus, etc.
  • Experience with Scrum and agile way of working is important.
