Financial Services Director / Senior Manager

To support its fast-growing Financial practice, Capgemini Invent is looking for senior consultants with some experience serving the Financial industry and a passion in Finance area.

Capgemini Invent has a strong global presence across the Financial Services sector, working with major wholesale, retail and private banks, insurers, fund managers to help them respond to growing and complex challenges.

Your challenge as a Financial Services Director / Senior Manager

We are seeking to recruit serveral Senior Managers/Directors to support the growth of the Financial Services sector, in particular the Banking subsector and ideally with knowledge of the Wholesale, Retail Banking and Private Banking sector. You’ll become part of a team that develops next generation solutions to transform traditional Banks into efficient, digitally-enabled, customer-centric organisations.

You will work in multi-disciplinary teams and be involved in responding to a variety of strategic, business and/or operational questions addressing topics within strategy & transformation, AI, Finance Risk and Compliance, Digital banking, operational excellence, customer engagement, technological innovations and new services launches, just to name a few.

You’ll potentially work on a huge variety of projects (some larger than others), so you could gain lots of experience in a short amount of time.

You’ll help set the direction, driving forward the business, model our values and behaviours, and coach and develop junior members of the team. Key expectations from this role include:

  • Developing and executing an effective go-to-market strategy for our banking business that will position it for very significant growth.
  • Working with the Head of Financial Services for Capgemini Invent NL to ensure the coherence of all our offerings.
  • Capitalising on relationships already developed with Banking clients as well as developing new ones. Identifying and building a strong network of contacts at clients, those responsible for consulting/advisory programmes, and extending our relationships with Financial Services companies, ensuring they become key clients of Capgemini Invent.
  • Establishing and promoting a digital strategy to increase the impact of their marketing and sales
  • Take part in tender and proposal processes
  • Developing and implementing new technologies and artificial intelligence, to adapt to a changing environment
  • Reshaping their overall strategy through innovation
  • Reinventing work as people and organization are evolving
  • Supporting Dutch banks on their regulatory and financial questions
  • Participate in the development of the financial services practice by contributing to the development of points of view, white papers for capability testimonials for our clients and prospects within the financial services industry.

What do you bring?

  • Strong management consulting experience (8+ years) with proven sales and delivery success in Wholesale Banking and/or Retail or Private Banking.
  • Currently working in a major Consulting firm, and/or in industry but having a Consulting background.
  • Extensive knowledge of the wider Banking sector and ideally of the Wholesale, Retail or Private Banking market as well.
  • A clear and proven area of specialism/domains
  • Experience in digital transformation of the Banking value chain (RPA, Digital Banking, Digital channel management, Blockchain) to assist clients in leveraging digital technologies to reduce cost would be ideal.
  • You have the right mix of analytical and personal skills, the quality to shine as an individual, the modesty to win as a team and the ambition to be successful as an FS practice.
  • Analyzing and presenting complex processes and data in a logical, structured, and compelling manner.
  • A logical, analytical and structured thinker with good relationship management and influencing skills – often influencing senior stakeholder groups
  • A proven track record in business development/account management in large financial Services companies across the full sales lifecycle.
  • Experience of proposition building and delivery.
  • Good existing relationships with senior executives of major NL Banks.
  • Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering banking consulting solutions.
  • Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Private or Retail Banking
  • Risk, Finance, Regulatory and Compliance.

Personal Skills:

  • Fluent in Dutch and/or English
  • Excellent presentation and articulation skills. You will demonstrate outstanding written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex problems or solutions.
  • You will be highly motivated, a self-starter, bringing a proactive, can-do attitude to project delivery, capable of working independently as well as in teams in a sometimes-demanding project environment.
  • You will have the knowledge and gravitas to credibly engage with a range of stakeholders
  • You will enjoy working in a collaborative team environment, providing direction and helping others to develop.
  • You will be able to adjust positively to an environment that involves changing tasks and/or location, shifting priorities or ambiguity.
  • You will have excellent interpersonal skills, including an ability to listen to understand the client’s situation and the ability to communicate clearly and efficiently on potentially complex issues.
  • Ability to work within an integrated team environment in a fast-paced, pressurized client environment.
  • Flexible in terms of assignment location.
